Super Origami

This past week Da Bassment had the opportunity to sit in on a residency night in Cincinnati at The Comet. The vibrations were elevated and the music was electrical, Super Origami put on a show. Combining music art and  culture in one building, using their sound to break down social stereotypes and speak on injustices as well as everyday life. The room was packed and filled with people from all walks of life connecting through the music. There was a cohesiveness between everyone who attended last night’s show and the love was truly felt and genuine. The live instrumentation quickly got the crowd to their feet, within seconds more than half of the audience was front and center dancing laughing and having a good time. The nostalgic vibes of the venue (The Comet) accented perfectly with their sound, placing you in a different time zone similar to the 70’s with free spirits, righteous hippies and revolutionaries. Its influence is evident when you see people across the globe connecting and relating to the same songs, from news anchors to political leaders everyone has referenced and credited Hip Hop as a universal feel that we are all familiar with. Today the talented artist Loh has whipped up some frequencies that touches many generations of people with the latest single “Super Saiyan”. This electrical summer anthem marries the two worlds of anime and trap, not you’re most traditional mix but certainly necessary. With visuals from the nostalgic Dragon ball Z TV series this video jogs your memory of the golden era of anime, accented with heavy 808’s and hi-hats creating a unorthodox soundtrack that you wouldn’t mind bumping in public. We all have a little super saiyan in us, and Loh helps bring out the goku and gohan in all of us. Make sure you stream the video below and as always…
