Sango

Oshun has been soaring into the stratosphere with their recent array of music, visuals and fashion creating art with a message, embedding culture and invoking thought into their listeners touching on modern day topics while connecting them to  divine/ancient law. The title of their latest single is called “Sango” (God of Thunder) which is the equal and opposite to Oshun, a masculine energy for balancing the female energy “Oshun”. This all may seem a bit mythological but Oshun connects this african myth/folktale into modern day relationships we face today. Confirming that nothing is new under the sun and how we are all one whether we realized it or not.  As always they depict beautiful cultured art pushing the envelop with visuals and fashion summoning vibes from the ancestors. D’Artiste

Often times music producers get the least credit for helping create great music, but in actuality they are the reason most magic happen. Many hear Willow and Jaden Smith sound and attribute them for creating a new wave of frequencies and style. While their uniqueness needs not be overlooked neither should the production work of the young guru Daniel D’artise. The California native has generated much of the two superstar’s tracks by blending beautiful ambient sounds with abstract drum patterns creating a futuristic wave. Taking you thru a psychological mind floss of vibrant sounds, while stimulating balance with his selection of chords and melancholy feels. Below is a beat/mix-tape of his latest production placements in the industry, I highly recommend you take the time and check this entire tape out.

ABRAKADABRA

Atlanta-bred beauty takes her music into her own hands: she writes, sings and even is a self-taught producer. Abra kicked off her flourishing career by covering popular southern hip hop songs on YouTube. It wasn’t long before Awful Records (Atlanta based label) brought her under their wings. The vocal goddess sound is completely different and refreshing. The sultry singer has combined her love for R&B, house and 90’s pop with an upbeat dance vibe which can be heard on her latest EP, Roses. Abra has not lost her hunger and still writes her own lyrics and creates her own beats, she still records out of her walk in closet that’s in her parents’ house. She may not have the bells and whistle of a professional studio which creates a competent polished sound, but it’s original. Abra’s music tends to favor low bass lines and distortions, which pair well with her high-pitched, slightly edgy voice. Each song deals with real life situations we all can relate to, clarifying topics about friendships and break-ups, to mistakes and lessons learned from personal experiences. Since embarking in the music scene Abra has released two mix tapes: “BLQ Velvet” in January of last year, and “Rose” five months after. Below is her latest 12-track project “ROSE” press play and get lost inside her world. And as always…
