I often compare surfing the web to exploring outer space, there are so many unknown gems that are  waiting to be discovered. Today I was blessed to run across a very talented artist/poet Hippie Snook who has released a project called “#teddybearinhandcuffs: Relapse”. This free spirited flower girl creates her own universe with positive energies and enlightening lyrics. Using her voice as a weapon to speak on social injustices of today, as well as providing a different perspective of life. Sonically she embodies a new wave full of intergalactic sounds with a soulful undertone. Creating a new age hippie sound for indigo’s looking for that open minded sound. With an over saturated industry trying to be like one another, its refreshing to hear an artist whom prides themselves in originality and being unique. Clay Life

Art comes in many forms, but rarely do you see it displayed tasteful with clay, specifically characters made from clay. Lisa Mathews a self-taught artist from Dayton, OH breaks the stereotype of traditional art with her unique form of visual art. Lisa a mother of two creates characters with polymer clay, she began pursuing her career with no experience and all the will. Determined to leave corporate America she began to blaze her own trail, educating herself in the field of clay characters Lisa started making beautiful pieces for decoration then taking it a step further creating customized chess pieces.  Ever since Lisa swallowed her fears and followed her artistic  dreams her work has been exhibited and noticed across the country at art festivals and galleries, in 2012 she was awarded “Best in Show” from the International Polymer Clay association for her sculptures. The London-based Tanzanian artist Tiggs Da Author releases his latest uplifting energetic single “Run” featuring the magical Lady Leshurr. The 25 year old poet, rapper, singer, songwriter and producer is inspired by obscure 60s narrative film, East African Jazz and Motown. His resulting sound is very rare to say the least. In his latest track “Run” Tiggs explains escaping life’s troubles with a distinctively reminiscent style of a modern day Ray Charles. Encouraging listeners not to let life’s dramas bring you down and sometimes it’s better to just run! Tiggs is accompanied by the lovely Lady Leshurr who adds a warm vibe that makes you want to dance and sing along instantly. Already making headway this track appeared on Fifa ’16 and ITV’s 2015 Rugby World Cup trailer.  Shot in South Africa this video accents the catchy lighthearted lyrics perfectly with shots of people hanging out of cars while gusheshe drifting (a popular phrase in South African culture), dope breakdancing and choreographed dancers running throughout the fun kinetic clip.
